3/8 and 3/22 Meeting

Hey guys!

At the meeting before spring break we had Donna Altuna and 2 SLPs from Texas School for the Deaf come talk to us.

They told us about how an SLP/Audiologist works with deaf kids and what kinds of roles they play at a school like TSD.

The teachers, SLPs, and audiologist all work hand in hand. Their main goal is teaching the child English, not necessarily speech.

At today's meeting we had two speakers from Central Texas Speech Pathology come talk to us. They have locations in both South and North Austin. There at 11 therapists currently working there.

Because of their high number of SLPs the case load is extremely diverse! They work with both children and adults in areas of voice therapy, vocal cord dysfunction and more.

REMINDER:
Cochlear Implant Kids Day will be April 2nd.

There is still room in certain committees and slots to work the day of for a service point!

This will be the last thing offered for a service point this semester!
